Teenagers savvier when it comes to dental aesthetics

This generation of teenagers seems more aware of the cosmetic and functional importance of their teeth

According to a survey of dental practices overseas, it seems that teenagers barely out of school and thinking about college are also thinking about dental aesthetics. This survey went on to say that 50% of dental patients in this country are comprised of people either on their way to college or about to start a new job.

One dentist said that on average he was getting 15 teenagers around 15 years of age coming in and enquiring about cosmetic dental treatments. And these teenagers are clever about it; getting their parents to foot the bill for expensive dental treatments.

Thanks to advances in dental technology, cosmetic dentistry is more popular than ever…

With advances in dental practices and technologies, cosmetic dentistry is almost indistinguishable from your healthy-looking natural teeth. And with the advances in dentistry are safer, healthier and more long-lasting than they were twenty or even ten years ago.

Put this together with improvements in sedation dentistry, more dentists being transparent about what they do and a growing media presence putting an emphasis on body image and it should be no surprise that fifteen-year-olds are conscious of the health and appearance of their smiles.

At Advanced Dental Care Clinic we offer a range of cosmetic dental treatments to suit any of your needs…

The survey that was performed overseas cited what they found to be the three most popular cosmetic dental treatments:

  1. Tooth whitening
  2. Dental crowns
  3. Dental fillings

Back in the day tooth whitening was used primarily to reduce discolouration and staining. Now, however, tooth whitening can give you a brighter and whiter smile.

Our tooth whitening treatments…

At Advanced Dental Care Clinic in Oxenford, we tend to agree that tooth whitening is one of the most (if not the most) popular make cosmetic dental treatments. The beauty of tooth whitening is that it enables you to revitalise your smile by removing stains and discolouration from your teeth. And tooth whitening is great not just for your smile but also for your self-confidence.

At Advanced Dental Care Clinic we offer Pola Tooth Whitening…

There are many reasons for our teeth becoming discoloured such as:

  • Drinking black coffee or tea (white coffee and tea can also stain your teeth, but it has been clinically proven that it really is black coffee that is worse; in fact putting milk in your coffee reduces the staining ability of the coffee or tea).
  • Drinking red wine
  • Smoking tobacco
  • Alcohol and various other acidic or sugary drinks

Pola Tooth Whitening is an Australian owned tooth whitening product that actively works to reverse the effects of staining and discolouration. With a combination of Pola Tooth whitening and looking after your teeth, the results of the Pola Tooth Whitening can (and will) last for several years.

At Advanced Dental Care Clinic in Oxenford, our friendly and expert team of dentists are dedicated to giving you the best dental treatment available. We also believe in educating our patients in oral health so that they can continue to look after their teeth long after they have left our friendly dental clinic
